Dolce & Gabbana: Fall 2011 Collection

 

Ho deciso di selezionare parecchie foto dalla sfilata della collezione Dolce & Gabbana per il prossimo autunno-inverno, perché tanti sono gli spunti. La collezione propone  il tema del maschile-femminile alternando tubini e abiti-corsetto a gilet, giacche e pantaloni. L'ispirazione va dagli anni '20 di "C'era una volta in America", al rockabilly anni '50, fino al glam rock anni '70, fra stelle, pailletes, pizzo, pellicce, note musicali, bianco-nero e flash di colori acidi.

Le scarpe sono piatte, stringate oppure classici stiletto indossati con calze da uomo.

I decided to select an extensive number of shots from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 collection show, because so many are the ideas. The collection is based on the theme of masculine-feminine, alternating sheath and corset dresses to vests, jackets and trousers. The inspiration runs through the 20's of "Once upon a time in America", the rockabilly of the 50's up to the glam rock of the 70's, among stars, sequins, lace, furs, musical notes, black-white and flashes of acid colors. Shoes are flat with laces or classic stilettos worn with socks. 

A New Italian Designer: Elena Leone Winner of "Next Generation" Contest

 

Elena Leone is the winner of the contest "Next Generation", by the Italian Fashion Chamber (Camera Nazionale della Moda). Here are some shots of her collection for next Fall, dedicated to a woman who seems to embody the spirit of a brave but still romantic warrior. The collection name is "the last Winter" and it has been inspired by the Mayan prophecy on the end of the world on December 2012.  I think the collection is remarkable, with some pieces that I would definitely wear, what do you think? Is a new star born?

Elena Leone è la vincitrice del concorso "Next Generation", indetto dalla Camera Nazionale della Moda. Questi sono alcuni scatti della sua collezione per il prossimo Autunno, dedicato ad una donna che sembra incarnare lo spirito di una guerriera coraggiosa ma romantica. Il nome della collezione, "L'ultimo Inverno", è stato ispirato dalla profezia Maya sulla fine del mondo del Dicembre 2012. Credo che la collezione sia notevole, con alcuni pezzi che senz'altro indosserei. Cosa ne pensate? E' nata una stella?

Valentino Fall 2011: A Bon Ton Lady

I love the proportions of the coats and I think the lenghts are just perfect, exactly what I love to wear.

Python boots are a recurring theme of the season, and it is just perfect here to add some twist.

The runaway theme of the brand of the year Alexander McQueen was "The Ice Queen and her court". The outfits were nothing easy wearable in our everyday life, they were pure dreams, fascinating dreams where we would love to loose ourselves... As far as the trend introduced by the brand for next season, that is fur, fur and fur...
